Friends of Marleyfield

Friends of Marleyfield 👫🏡

 

Here at Drury we have been friends of Marleyfield for many years.

We have shared many happy times such as singing, writing letters, spreading Christmas cheer and planting time capsules! 

Time capsule ⏳

 

We buried a time capsule to celebrate the completion of Marleyfield House care home expansion.

Spreading Christmas Cheer🎵

 

The children have worked so hard over the last few weeks to learn the words to the Christmas songs so that we could perform for 'Marleyfield Care Home' and spread some festive cheer 🎄☃

 

Due to the logistics of this we ended up pre-recording the singing on Monday of this week and using some clips from the school concert performances so everyone could share the fun.

We sent this over to the care home and then chatted to them via a live link afterwards and they absolutely loved it! ❤️️ The residents were so pleased to see the children and chatted to them about their favourite parts of their Christmas dinner and also how lovely the letters were that we had sent.  The children were so happy that they got to chat to them briefly and in turn make them happy too! I'm sure you will agree this gave us all a warm fuzzy feeling inside.
