To Drury Staff,
I just wanted to pass on my thanks and appreciation for everything you have all done throughout Covid-19. I have been so impressed by the way you have risen to the challenge and adapted. You have created online resources that have been interesting and engaging.
You have also, welcomed children of key workers into the Hub at Mountain Lane and Drury, where they have felt safe and very happy. You have adapted to allow children to access the 'Check in, Catch up and Prepare for September'' sessions for the children and they have really benefited from being able to see their friends and return to the familiar environment of their classroom and teacher, and you have also dealt with all the other extra strains of writing policies, risk assessments and implementing cleaning regimes.
I understand that it has been really tough, tiring, and demanding, however, despite the craziness, you have been able to bring some normality and structure to what otherwise has been a worrying and anxious time.
I thank you as a governor, for keeping learning and the well-being of the children at the centre of everything you do. I also thank you as a parent, your input and your understanding of individual circumstances has been a welcome comfort during these uncertain times.
September is going to bring a set of new challenges!, I really hope that you all manage to have time out to do something for yourself over the summer, you very much deserve it.
Thanks again
Maryanne Evans
